NORTHEAST OHIO - SEEKING INFO ON THOMPSON ACCIDENT

There is a website that I would like to contribute to called Motorsport Memorial, dedicated to those who have paid the ultimate price. There was a Willys gasser than ran at Thompson somewhere in the 80s called "Rapid Transit". I attended an event where something broke on the car in the lights and the resultant crash ultimatly proved fatal.
I am seeking anyone with details, date, driver name and age, etc. so I can contribute another fine racer's name to the above mentioned site.
Please remember, this site is not a glorification of the danger, but a tribute to the souls we have lost.
