As reported by Competition Plus e-magizine, Bobby Bennette , Thieves Struck In Night at Hotel; $10,000 Reward Offered …

Four musclecar enthusiasts were stranded at their hotels when thieves stole four rare Hurst/Olds on Friday evening during the 25th annual Hurst/Olds National Meet at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis.

Thanks for getting back. The name of the pari mutual track was one that I thought I would never forget....oh well. What years did it operate with the gambling? Trying to tie that with when I would have had a chance to visit. I am sure I went with some east coast friends when I was working as the pre race advance man for NHRA...quite a while ago.

I appreciate to chance to chat...and hope to meet you in person some day soon. If ever we are at an event at the same time, please introduce yourself.

Again, appreciate the heads up on the track...the one thing I do remember about it is I won $12...a lot of money in those days!
