Hey Steve ! I'm quite sure that you should maybe hit mid 9's with this beast !! It will take some time granted ,just getting to know the car and what it's really capeable of doing ! i'm sure that she can get a little squirrley about maybe at mid track !! i do know that you have your hands full with her ,but well worth the challenge ! My husband and I are big time Mopar freaks ourselves !! We have four Mopars ,and they are beautiful show cars !! I've been with Drag Racing since I was 4 yrs of age !!! I grew up living across the street from US30 Dragstrip in Indiana all my life ,so betcha I've seen it all my friend !!! The Nastalgia Drags are still my all time favorite !! Drag Racing ,was always about man and his motor and now the computers have taken over which does no doubt takes something away from the sport ..

Hi Kathy,
I read your page and I am very impressed with your knowledge of the sport and the important people who shaped it.
Thank you for the nice comments about my car, I have been a drag racing freak since I was 10 years old, (I will date myself) that goes back to 1968. I have been drag racing since 1982, and it is still with the same car I bought in 1978. It is a 1973 Dodge Charger with a stroker 400. I built the car to look like a 1973 Pro Stock with tunnel ram, body mount wheelie bars and narrowed dana. The car runs 10.40@130 and is all steel with full factory interior.
Now about the the BAD NEWS car, I have had it for almost 5 years and finally finished it and took it to the track to shake it down, I have run a best so far at 10.03@128 with the chute out at 1100 feet. It should run mid 9 seconds if I ever get it to stop spinning the tires after the 1000 foot mark and using up the width of the track.
One more thing, I was at the Henderson Hall of Fame show last weekend and (Inside Drag Racing) with Bret Kepner was there filming the show. They did about a 15 second segment on the car. I think the show should air in January sometime.
Thanks again for the compliments.
Steve.

I would say that this was probably the beginning of the funny car era !! Injected F/C and what a beauty she is !! I trully do appreciate the nostalgia look of years ago !! A job well done there !!!!
