When I was actively involved in racing I couldn't have a favorite, but my
tattoo has worn off long ago and my allegiance is to the bowtie!

Had to join, I think I was conceived in the back, front, hood of dad's 57' chevy, how could I not be a fan! I will tell you I do know it wasn't in 57' I'm not quite that seasoned yet. More like 63'.

If memory serves your car is coil spring suspension. The first thing I would do is get some air bags for the coil springs. I have them on the wagon. I run about 18 lbs in the LR and 40 lbs in the RR. When I first got the car there was only one on the LR and the car twisted drastically lifting only the LF wheel. After I put another bag on the left and experimented with air pressure it now picks up both front tires as evidenced by my picture. Good luck Mike and have a great 2009.

That's impressive! I havn't had mine to the track yet and I'm not even going to attempt until I get some traction issues taken care of.

Any time you are looking at dragracing stuff it's never wasted time...LOL.
My wagon is a 69 Chevelle with a 350 and a powerglide trans. It runs
K/SA. Mostly stock motor with a cam with stock lift and duration around 290 degrees at .050 lift. My best ET so far is 12.45 @ 107.
That's at 3870 pounds.

Thanks Philip, that picture was taken before I was even born. That is the only surviving pic of my Dad's car taken in 1965. It was a '64 Biscayne with a 409 4-speed from a 63 Impala. Needless to say he made himself very well known amongst the street racers in Indianapolis back in the day. I have just recently finished a tribute to this car(minus 409 $$$$) but in place of it I've got a 550 horse small block 4speed. This site is unbelievable I have wasted a whole day at work checking it out.
